Privacy
There is no account to make and nothing to sign up for. What the site remembers, it remembers on your own device.
There are no accounts
The site has no registration, no login, no password and no profile. It never asks for an email address, a name, a date of birth or a payment detail, because there is nothing here to pay for or to sign into. Nothing you do on the site is attached to an identity, because the site has no identities.
What is stored on your device
The player keeps its settings in your browser's local storage, under a single key named hentailand.player. That key holds four things:
- the player volume, and whether it is muted;
- the quality you last chose, if you chose one;
- a resume position in seconds for each title you watched part of, so the player can offer to pick up where you stopped;
- nothing else. The resume list is capped at the most recent sixty titles and the oldest entries are dropped as new ones arrive.
This is stored by your browser, on your computer or phone. It is not sent to this server, it is not readable by any other site, and it is not synchronised anywhere. If you open the site in a private window or on another device, it starts empty.
To delete all of it, clear site data for this domain in your browser's settings, or use a private window so nothing is written in the first place. If your browser blocks storage, the player works exactly the same and simply forgets its settings between visits.
Cookies
The site's own code sets no cookies. It does not use a cookie for sessions, because it has no sessions, and it does not use one for preferences, because those are in local storage as described above.
Where the video comes from
Media is not embedded from another site. Your browser requests it from this site's own server, which fetches it from the host that holds it and passes the bytes through. One side effect is worth knowing: because your browser never contacts the upstream host directly, that host sees a request from this server rather than from you. It does not learn your address or your browser.
This does not make you anonymous to anyone else on the path. Your network provider still sees that you connected to this site, and so does anyone operating the hardware in between.
What this page cannot tell you
Everything above is a fact about the code. The rest is a fact about hosting, and the code has no way to find it out. Whether the web server keeps access logs, what they contain, whether they include IP addresses, how long they are kept, whether anything sits in front of the origin, whether any analytics, advertising or error-reporting service has been added since this was written: all of that is decided by whoever deploys the site.
The operator has to answer those here, honestly, before this page is published. Leaving it as "we do not collect anything" while a log file quietly records every request would be a false statement, not a simplification. Under regimes such as the GDPR, a log holding IP addresses is personal data and needs a stated purpose, a retention period and a lawful basis in [JURISDICTION].
